On a scale from one to ten...

How cheesy is this?

I remember learning about your star, before I knew it was yours. We’d watch it at night, through our telescopes. We’d talk about your planet, always in hushed tones of course. If the Elders knew of our interest, my friends and I would’ve been in big trouble. But we were just curious. What did you learn about in your school? What kind of people lived on your planet called Earth? We used to make fun of the name, by the way. Earth. So simple, nothing fascinating about it.
But all that has changed now. Now that I've met you. I watched your star last night, for the first time since I've been home. I stared at your star for hours… I knew that three million miles away your star was keeping you warm, and I was jealous of it.

8 1/2. Figure out a different word that they call school. For some reason, it felt jarring.
